Yesterday went to do party shopping with Naima.
Cos she wanna watch her stupid videos at home first, so I waited for her to finish it before meeting her.
No point of telling her how stupid it is to waste time at home watching videos than going out.
Met her at 4PM in Little India.
Went over to The Verge for the deco stuff, recommended by JiaHao.
It is on the top floor.
Spent quite a long time over there.
Were deciding what to get. Must be cheap and good of course.
I am trying hard to bring the cost down so everyone can have more money to spend on other things like food etc.
Since most of the things are one-time use, so dont need to be very expensive and durable.
Anyway I am thinking letting those Shooters who will be holding their own 21st birthday parties to keep the deco stuff.
No use to me.
That shop is those one-stop party deco stuff shop.
Can find almost everything there.
But somethings are really old. Like those small items for gift packs, those stationery sets are as old as me.
I mean... from my era one la. Cos I certainly remember I used those kind of pencils and erasers and rulers before when I was a kid.
Couldnt decide if should buy a pinata (honestly when I first heard the name I was like "What peanut?!?! I dont like peanuts."
-.-
It costs 25 bucks which is slightly expensive for us.
Since have not confirm the number of people going for the party, we decided not to buy it first.
Should go see if can find cheaper ones too.
And need to estimate the budget.
By the time we left The Verge, it was already 6plus.
Walked over to Sim Lim Square and I intro Naima naan.
There is this foodcourt vendor "Indian and Pakistan" that is quite famous with its naan.
(The name is pretty weird though, history will tell you that India has never been on good terms with Pakistan.)
Remember two years ago went there to eat with Ah Jia.
That was soooo freaking long ago already.
Right now we are so busy with your work that we hardly go out together, not even for a meal. Hais.
Must try to set a date with her to go out for some nice food (:
Naima said the naan is good. Just that the sauce is too sweet, which I agree.
In fact the naan was so nice that Naima wanted to buy another piece.
Not bad ah, recently I intro Naima all those nice cheap food.
(:
Yesterday I was telling Naima "Please no restaurants for dinner. I am broke. Lets eat food court or hawker center. The food can be equally good."
Actually I really do like hawker center food quite a lot.
After that we walked to PlazaSing.
Bought something there. Shall keep that as a secret now.
Went to Daiso and I finally board a board for me to pin notices (:
Home and was told by some people that they cannot make it for the party on Fri-Sat.
Honestly when I first heard it I was like sibei sian.
Hate this kind of things, when I have set a date then people last min telling me that they cant make it.
Either that, they give me no response. It is really hard to plan anything like that.
Other events still not too bad, but this one I need to book a hotel and if too many people are not going, I dont have to book such a big room. And less people means higher average cost.
Really thankful to Mariah and Jingjia for helping me ask everyone if they are ok with changing the date from Fri-Sat to Sat-Sun.
So now that most people can make it on Sat-Sun so I have changed the booking of the room to that.
Feeling sorry for those who now may not be able to make it due to the change of date ):
I really hope that everything will fine next week.
As long as people dont suddenly tell me they cant make it I am more than satisfied.
I dont know how to put this, but for all the events, they definitely will be people cant make it last min.
Or maybe it is just that I worried too much. Shouldnt be too stressed.
It is so hard to plan and carry out a big scale event like this, in terms of searching and booking hotel rooms, thinking of activities, confirming attendance, buying of stuff for the party etc.
And I really appreciate those who had helped.
May 14th-15th be good party days.
