Happy Futsal and Scary Tweets

Right, it's after training and I am supposed to feel tired.
This sort of tiredness is so shoik.

Had a lot of fun tonight with the team.
After MIA for more than 3 months and this is my third session back in training, I can feel that I have found the lost touch with football and the girls.

Today we divided ourselves into 4 teams, with 4 members each.
And that is the ultimate test of stamina I tell you.
Cos normally futsal is played 5 players a side.
So now playing only 4 means there is a lot of space and you will need to run super lot to close up to your opponents.

First match was still alright for me, playing as defender.
Generally I stayed at my own half of the pitch.

But later on, I played in the position of midfield/forward.
And I had to make endless run from box to box.
Pressuring the opponent, getting the ball, and run for lose ball.
It was 10 minute per game but first time I found myself screaming "Is the game going to be over soon?!?!"

Quite pleased with the performance of my team.
Especially during the third game when Atiqah played as the keeper and she shouted instructions for us.
That really help a lot especially for a player as clueless as me.

I played forward for two games and I cant say that I played well.
In fact, I was pretty frustrated with myself for not getting any good passes to Ed.
And I missed too many good opportunity to score.
It was only towards the end of the second game that I played as forward that I managed an assist.

Was rather pleased with my free kick still.
Have not touched the ball for so long yet I am relieved that I have not lost the touch on free kicks.
I practiced it for a long period of time last year to perfect it.
Whenever I had breaks in between games, or on my free time after tuition, I would be practicing it.
I like the feeling of kicking the ball as hard as I could (ok not really cos I still dk how to make full use of the muscles in my leg and my body) and seeing the ball hit high up.

I remember how previously no matter what I did, I could not send the ball high up.
Still can feel the joy the first time I could kick the ball up in the air (:

Just now I was managed to kick the ball just under the crossbar from the half line.
Was damn shocked by myself too. Too bad the keeper blocked it haha
Need to work on the speed and spinning the ball.

My left leg is still so useless.
Need to pay special attention to it. Will make sure that I can kick a free kick from my left leg too.

Played as keeper for the last game.
Finally gotten rid of the ball phobia since I am no longer wearing specs during football.
Not a good keeper but still trying my best.

Again, I have to say this.
I have some wonderful teammates who always ask the best from me.
They forgive me for making stupid mistakes.
And always teaching me new stuff.

I love how Nadia always comes to me and tell me what I should work on more.
She is the type of player who always smile and seem so comfortable with the ball.
I LOVE seeing her play. The way she dribbled the way she runs. Fantastic.
She can attack, defend and keep. All-rounded.

"You have to be more aggressive. When you commit, you have to make sure that you go all in, 100%. If not you will get injured easily."

"When you make a mistake, it's ok, don't give up. Everyone is learning here."

Awesome right!

Glad that today Araxes and Peiqi turned up.
Oh I shall talk about them later.

Today is Shakz's birthday so the team sang her a bday song and cut cake (:
Now we are really a team, ain't we.

Happy Birthday Shakz!

Alright so about Peiqi and Araxes.
Both from NY, just like me.

Two of them were from NY football team so they knew each other since JC days.
Peiqi was in the same batch as me while Araxes was one batch older.
If only I joined NY football in JC... Hais.
Perhaps my JC life would not be as bad as what it was.

I always think that sports do people good.
From personal experience, I think the people who play sports are nicer and more easygoing.
Especially for a sport like football, which you need to rely on your teammates to perform, the bond between the payers must be very strong.
Anw, generally, people who play sports are nicer that is my point -.-

Now back to the duo.
Back in NY I didnt know them. Ok I knew about Peiqi cos she is Miki's friend and Miki would shout from one end of the canteen to the other end "PEI-PEI!!!!!"
Just to embarrass her -.- Much like what I always do to Naima. But she doesnt really care now so NO FUN!

I would be standing next to Miki when they talked for a while. But I never talked to Peiqi back then.

It was only last year when I saw her in one of the field training that I found her very familiar.
Then I remembered.

As for Araxes. I didnt know her hahaha!
Perhaps in NY we had walked past each other but seriously I dont recall.

NY was never our common topic when the three of us see each other in training.
Perhaps cos we are the only few Chinese there so it is easier for us to talk to each other.
Though everyone there is super nice too,

Met Peiqi at City Square Mall today just before training.
Was talking halfway when she said "Oh ya you going holiday next month right!"
I was like "HOW YOU KNOW?!?!?" (We dont really keep in contact other than in training)
"Twitter la. I also know you this this this that that that..."

Then I realised that cos of Twitter, I have no privacy haha!

It was later that I found out that Vanessa and Ginny (my lower sec classmates) are now close friends of Peiqi.
Yes how small is the world right!

They today Vanessa and Ginny asked about me -.-
"Hey Peiqi today you going to training ah? Rose going?"

LOL!!! I never keep in contact with them since like forever!!!
How do they know about me going football training? Cos of Peiqi.
How Peiqi know if today I am going football? Cos of Twitter -.-

"She today never tweet say if going so I don't know leh. But last week she went cos she tweeted about it."

Now, what kind of conversation is that -.-

I remember last week, I was talking to Araxes after training and she was like "Oh you going to cut hair ah?"
"HOW YOU KNOW?!?!"
"Twitter lor."

And just now she asked "Oh so you collected your jigsaw puzzle already? What is 1984 btw?"

Ok that is scary.
Cos it never occur to me that people will read every single tweet.
Or perhaps just that I am different. I follow 300+ people on Twitter so of course I cant read every single tweet. If I happen to see their tweets amongst all the news and football tweets, that is by pure luck.
I dont track back on tweets too.
But for most of other people, they only follow friends, which is about 30+ people?
So they can and will read every tweet.

Not that I have anything to hide.
If I can put those thoughts on Twitter, I dont intend to hide them.
But it is just weird when people suddenly come to you and they suddenly talk about something related to you.
It makes you feel like you have been... stalked?
For that one moment, you really wonder... how do they know about all these stuff about me?

LOL.

Everything is alright today.
Collected my jigsaw puzzle and 1984.
Bought 3 bottles of Calcium tablets for Mum and our neighbour (I mean the one in Guangzhou. We have very good relationships with neighbours. That is, of course, another long story.)
Bought Bak Gua for my Aunt.

Broke.

Intending to buy vacuum cleaner still.
Spring cleaning before CNY.

Going to cut hair on Sat, if possible.

That is about it for today.
Tomorrow will be boring. It is stay-at-home-make-no-money day.
